This last post catches me up to where I actually am in the build. I finished painting about have of the metal colored parts so far.

New project

Not really new. I've been slowly working on this for a little while but I didn't feel like posting until now.

I'm getting closer to finishing this thing. I finished the decals and did the panel lines and weathering. I think I might do the metal parts are over again to match the outer armor.

Progress 2

After getting the face out of the way I finished the head. Instead of doing the gundam head mod I see a lot of people do I just masked the face and sensor after putting them in. Then I had to get rid of the seamline in the middle of the head. Pics below.

 

More progress

This is going to be a pretty long entry. I spent a few days working on the head. It took me a little while because I ended up doing the eyes twice. First I just painted them in clear green.

So far so good.

The problem is after I put the head together the eyes look too dark.

So I started over. After browsing Hobby Fanatics I found a few different ways people paint eyes and decided to try this one.

I threw some Alclad II gloss black down first.

Then Alclad II chrome.

And then finally the clear green.

It looks a little better. Atleast to me.

Almost there

I finished the white parts last week but I didn't upload the pics. I actually still have a couple white pieces to finish. One piece that got lost among all the other pieces I was painting and the rest of the gundam's head which I couldn't finish until I did the face. More on that later though.

Last week

I did a lot of stuff last monday that I didn't post. First I painted all the red and blue parts.

 

Then I primed all the white parts and then base coated them in gray. It took forever.

I was sick last week so I didn't get much done. I did manage to panel line and dry brush most of the innerframe and weapons though.
